2. Purpose and scope
These Terms and Conditions of Sale define the rights and obligations of Brume Ambrée and its consumer customers in connection with the distance sale of decorative water-vapour fireplaces and accessories.
3. Products
The essential characteristics of each model—dimensions, electrical supply, water supply, finish and lighting options—are shown on its product page. Customers must check compatibility with their project before ordering.
Photographs aim to reproduce products and settings as faithfully as possible. Colour rendering may vary by screen and lighting conditions, without limiting customer rights in the event of non-conformity.
Brume Ambrée fireplaces create a decorative flame effect using water vapour and light. They are not heating appliances unless a product page expressly states otherwise.
4. Configuration and made-to-order production
Some models may be prepared or manufactured after order confirmation. This alone does not mean that a product is personalised for withdrawal-law purposes. Any substantial customisation or production to particular specifications is disclosed before checkout.
5. Prices and markets
The applicable prices are those displayed for the selected country or market when the order is placed. Currency, taxes and any delivery costs are shown before payment. Price changes do not affect confirmed orders.
6. Orders
The customer selects the model, lighting options, voltage or plug offered for their country and any other available configuration. The order can be reviewed and corrected before payment. Confirmation constitutes acceptance of these terms, and an electronic confirmation is sent.
The customer is responsible for the accuracy of contact details, delivery address and selected technical options.
7. Payment
Payment is made using the methods offered at checkout. An order may be suspended or cancelled in the event of payment failure or suspected fraud, in accordance with applicable law.
8. Delivery
Products are delivered to destinations offered at checkout. Unless otherwise stated, please allow an indicative total of approximately 20 days for order processing, production and delivery. This may vary slightly by model, configuration and destination country.
Large formats may require reinforced packaging or specialist transport. Customers must ensure that doors, corridors, stairs and lifts provide sufficient access for the selected model.
9. Transfer of risk and receipt
Risk passes when the consumer, or a designated third party other than the carrier, physically takes possession in accordance with the law.
Customers should inspect the parcel and product on delivery. In the event of damage, take photographs, retain the packaging and contact Brume Ambrée promptly. These recommendations do not limit statutory rights.
10. Right of withdrawal
Subject to statutory exceptions, consumers have 14 days from receipt to withdraw without giving a reason. A clear statement may be sent to info@brumeambree.com.
Following notification, the product must be returned within 14 days. Full terms appear on the Returns and refunds page.
11. Personalised products
The right of withdrawal may not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Selecting from standard sizes, colours or options does not necessarily constitute personalisation. Any exclusion is disclosed before ordering.
12. Return costs and refunds
For a withdrawal, direct return costs are borne by the customer unless the law provides otherwise or Brume Ambrée expressly agrees to cover them. Refunds are made within the statutory timeframe using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed.
13. Statutory warranties
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity under the French Consumer Code and the warranty against hidden defects under Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code, independently of any commercial warranty.
14. Installation and use
The product must be installed and used according to its instructions, with the prescribed voltage, water supply, clearances and ventilation. Final cabinet or recess construction should not begin before the exact technical dimensions have been checked.
Special electrical work or a permanent water connection must be carried out by a qualified professional.
15. Liability and force majeure
Brume Ambrée is not liable for damage caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable voltage, lack of maintenance or unauthorised modification. Nothing limits mandatory consumer rights.
Neither party is liable for failure caused by an event meeting the conditions of force majeure under French law.

17. Customer service and complaints

18. Consumer mediation
After a prior written complaint remains unresolved, consumers may use the competent consumer mediator free of charge. The name and contact details of the mediator selected by the operator must be added here once membership is confirmed.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Failing an amicable settlement or mediation, disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts under applicable rules.
